“Before LearningRx, it was rare to be finished with homework before 11:00 P.M. Now, it is rare to be working on homework after 8:30 P.M.”

This school year started off like any other—jump in with lots of homework. We seemed to be falling further behind instead of settling into things. We realized quickly we were not going to be able to keep up with the daily demands if we couldn’t provide our child with the skills he was missing. Some of these skills needed were organization, understanding the information presented the first time, the speed in which homework was completed, recalling information previously learned and task focus.

While discussing our frustration, we learned about LearningRx from a friend. Our friend explained the differences she saw in her child after the program. Immediately, we started to research the program to determine if it could help with our issues. We signed up for testing and decided this was going to be our best shot to get the train back on the tracks. Several weeks into the program, we has a panic, “Did we make the right decision?” when we couldn’t see any positive changes yet.

Keeping calm, we forged ahead with the training because we remembered results are not typically noticeable until after the half way point. Then it was, all of a sudden, many changes were visible. We were discussing the program as a family, and we thought back to how bad things had been before we started. Tension was high then because the whole night revolved around homework, usually for five hours or longer. By the end of the evening, everyone’s fuse was short. Things are much calmer how. Even though we still have to help our child stay focused on task; once he gets going, the process for completing and understanding the work is much quicker. We can explain things one time and then next thing we know it is finished. Before LearningRx, it was rare to be finished with homework before 11:00 P.M.. Now, it is rare to be working on homework after 8:30 P.M. – even after spending 1 hour and 40 minutes at LearningRx 3 days a week. We can’t wait to see how quick things are done now that we have more free time in the evening since the program is finished.
