Our Gains Were Not as Great as We Hoped, but We Definitely See Improvements

We began our LearningRx journey two years prior to actually beginning training. Our son was tested after finishing kindergarten. He showed that he would benefit from LearningRx, but we decided to wait. Two years later he was tested again and showed more significant change in cognitive skills. We began training with Miss Davis. She worked with him as we did at home for a total of 6 hours per week. This was quite a challenge as we live one hour from the center. Jimmy gave up his Fridays after school and his Saturdays to participate in the program. It was also a challenge to do both school homework and LearningRx homework daily. Jimmy made improvements and progressed with the program and his school work. Our gains in school performance were not as great as we had hoped, although we definitely have seen improvements. We know that in order to maintain and continue to grow in these cognitive skills that the program must continue at home and with the booster program. We hope that through this continued effort, we will have the “light bulb experience”...

“I Have Seen Her Come Out of Her Shell”

When my daughter, Kimberly, began this journey she was shy, introverted, and self-conscious, especially at school. She would often not want to go to school or would call midday wishing to come home early. Through this eight month journey she has taken in LearningRx I have seen her come out of her shell in a way I feared would never be possible. She has learned so much through the work with her trainers, the at-home exercises, and the experience as a whole. For the first time Kimberly is reading street signs while we are on the road, packages and signs in stores, and is even picking up books to read in her own time. Instead of being upset about going to school, she is excited and even cried when she had to miss a day due to illness. I am so grateful for the progress LearningRx has allowed Emerson to make, both academically and in her personal life.
