The LearningRx Program Has Helped My Son in so Many Ways

The LearningRx program has helped my son in so many ways that are apparent to all who know him. It became obvious to us as his parents that he was struggling with focus once he started kindergarten. With the patient guidance of his LearningRx trainer, our son has learned to focus and has become, in academic terms, a new student. He especially enjoys reading now, and works his way through chapter books on his own volition. It is clear he has gained a much healthier sense of self-worth, and by his own testimony he acknowledges that the improvements he has achieved over the past half year in math, reading, and pronunciation will be of great help to him in the future. LearningRx has been a springboard for our son to vault into his...

“Before LearningRx, it was rare to be finished with homework before 11:00 P.M. Now, it is rare to be working on homework after 8:30 P.M.”

This school year started off like any other—jump in with lots of homework. We seemed to be falling further behind instead of settling into things. We realized quickly we were not going to be able to keep up with the daily demands if we couldn’t provide our child with the skills he was missing. Some of these skills needed were organization, understanding the information presented the first time, the speed in which homework was completed, recalling information previously learned and task focus. While discussing our frustration, we learned about LearningRx from a friend. Our friend explained the differences she saw in her child after the program. Immediately, we started to research the program to determine if it could help with our issues. We signed up for testing and decided this was going to be our best shot to get the train back on the tracks. Several weeks into the program, we has a panic, “Did we make the right decision?” when we couldn’t see any positive changes yet. Keeping calm, we forged ahead with the training because we remembered results are not typically noticeable until after the half way point. Then it was, all of a sudden, many changes were visible. We were discussing the program as a family, and we thought back to how bad things had been before we started. Tension was high then because the whole night revolved around homework, usually for five hours or longer. By the end of the evening, everyone’s fuse was short. Things are much calmer how. Even though we still have to help our child stay focused on task; once he gets going, the process for completing and understanding the work is much quicker. We can explain things one time and then next thing we know it is finished. Before LearningRx, it was rare to be finished with homework before 11:00 P.M.. Now, it is rare to be working on homework after 8:30 P.M. – even after spending 1 hour and 40 minutes at LearningRx 3 days a week. We can’t wait to see how quick things are done now that we have more free time in the evening since the program is...

Our Daughter’s Experience with LearningRx

I heard about LearningRx over two years ago. Being a former teacher, I thought that it sounded like a fantastic program that would help our daughter. She seemed to be doing OK in school. Her teachers never expressed concern, so we weren’t really concerned. Most of her grades were As and Bs, and she really excelled in some subjects. However, when she began 6th grade, we realized that she wasn’t really where she should be. We knew she had the potential to be doing better than OK. And, that as she began to have dreams and goals for her future, her achievement was likely to compromise that future. The initial evaluation proved what we believed to be true. Our daughter began the program and enjoyed the training sessions. Her trainer was great! I began to see my daughter reading faster, being more of a self-motivated learner and more likely to take on a learning challenge. She had less test anxiety and did great on her TCAP tests. Her grades at the end of the school year were the best they’ve been in years. We are so proud of her and the improvements that she has made. We look forward to her future and encouraging her to accomplish anything she...

LearningRx Has Made a Radical Difference in the Way My Son Processes Information

LearningRx is and has been a very beneficial program for my son.  He has completed the program during his 3rd grade school year.  I strongly believe that LearningRx has made a radical difference in the way he processes information and a strong contribution to his school success.  The combination of a truly wonderful classroom teacher and exceptional Rx teachers has proven to push my son to a higher level of learning.  The consistency of the Rx program has kept him focused and aware of his own learning.  I believe that he is more confident and feels a sense of empowerment in his learning environment.  He has enjoyed going to LearningRx and has been motivated by the completion of reaching higher levels and earning points.  We have observed him thinking more independently, thinking more maturely, and being more responsive than before. I believe that this type of learning or brain training versus just being tutored is going to provide continued success throughout school and life.  My child is thinking quickly, is striving to read more smoothly, and is reading more independently.  These may sound like minor issues for an average child, but these issues were causing homework stress.  He has also moved up two grade levels in reading.  The LearningRx program, the trainers, and his classroom teacher have pushed him to the cutting edge.  He now sees his own potential; meaning he has gained higher expectations of himself.  We have been so fortunate this year to have the whole package and are so thankful for the convenience of the LRx program. I researched many different programs before I found the LearningRx web site.  I was looking for something that could make or create a “click” in my child’s brain.  I believe that we have found it.  I trust that this program has been a big step for hm in the life-long learning process.  Again, my family is so thankful for this program and for the people who make up this program. We are proud of the outcome and definitely the less stressful homework...
